As a Postal Delivery Driver - Ashington, you will work from the North Seaton delivery office, delivering letters and parcels across the local area. This full-time temporary role involves sorting and loading your vehicle each morning before completing your round on foot and by vehicle, covering up to eight miles daily. You will use a handheld device to track deliveries and provide excellent service to residents. The position requires a Monday to Friday schedule with weekend availability, paying £13.69 per hour. Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors independently, are physically active, and display strong organisational skills. What You’ll Be Doing: Load & Go: Start your day at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle. On the Move: Deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day. Tech-Savvy Delivery: Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures. Hands-On Work: Lift and carry mailbags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg), using delivery trolleys when needed. What We’re Looking For: A full UK manual driving licence (maximum of 6 points; clean preferred). Comfortable working outdoors through rain, shine, or snow.
