Description
Royal Ocean Marine is looking for a dedicated and experienced Port Engineer to be based in Malaysia. The Port Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the technical management of vessels within the assigned port. This role ensures the vessels are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise the repair and maintenance of vessels at the port. Coordinate with shipyards, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance work. Conduct regular inspections and surveys of vessels to assess condition and identify required repairs or upgrades. Ensure all technical documentation and records are maintained accurately. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and procurement related to vessel maintenance. Liaise with vessel crews, owners, and relevant stakeholders to address technical issues and support port operations. Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies. Provide technical support during dry dockings, audits, and inspections. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Port Engineer or similar role, preferably in Malaysia. Strong technical knowledge of ship machinery, systems, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with maritime regulations and classification society requirements. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
