About the Role Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered campaign rooted in grassroots support, integrity, and the belief that politics should work for everyday Texans. James Talarico's campaign for the U.S. Senate will focus heavily on coordinating closely with local leaders and community organizations across the state who are most connected to the issues that matter to Texans. We are seeking a full-time Political & Coalitions Associate to support our political and coalition engagement efforts across Texas. Working closely with the Political Manager, this role will help execute the campaign's regional political strategy by building relationships, coordinating events, and supporting outreach to elected officials, community leaders, and coalition partners. Responsibilities Support the execution of the campaign's political and coalition strategy Help build and maintain relationships with elected officials, community leaders, advocacy organizations, and key stakeholders Coordinate political meetings, roundtables, coalition briefings, and community events Prepare briefing materials, political memos, call sheets, and research Track political outreach, endorsements, and stakeholder engagement Identify opportunities to expand the campaign's political relationships Requirements Qualifications 1–2 years of campaign, government, nonprofit, labor, or community organizing experience preferred Understanding of the Texas political and community landscape Excellent interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment Ability to work nights and weekends as needed Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and political tools (e.g., NGP, VAN) preferred Access to reliable transportation Benefits Reports to: Political Manager Location: Austin, Texas (Statewide Travel Required) Salary: $5,000 per month Benefits: Health care, paid time off, sick leave
