Job Summary
Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for the manufacturing operations of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and favorable agreements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and inventory departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and industry trends.
• Resolve disputes and discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, shipments, and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant purchasing regulations and company procurement policies.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing department.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of supplier management and inventory control principles.
• Familiarity with quality standards and specifications relevant to the can manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
