We’re looking for two reliable, safety-focused Plant Operators to join our Engineering Operations team, with one opportunity in Drainage and one in Reactive Maintenance . These hands-on roles help keep the City’s roads, drainage networks and public infrastructure safe, functional and well maintained for our community. This is a practical, outdoor role where around 80% of your day will involve manual labour and around 20% will involve operating plant and equipment. You’ll work as part of a supportive field-based team delivering construction, maintenance and responsive works across the City. What You’ll Be Doing • Complete general labouring and maintenance duties • Operate plant and equipment safely • Support drainage or reactive maintenance works • Transport materials, plant and equipment • Complete plant checks and site records • Report plant defects and hazards • Follow safe work practices onsite • Participate in toolbox meetings We’re looking for practical, team-focused operators who enjoy physical outdoor work and take pride in delivering safe, high-quality maintenance outcomes.
