Salary: Competitive, depending on experience About Us: Submarine is a leading animation studio specializing in creating groundbreaking animated films and series, with offices in Amsterdam, Antwerp, London, and LA. Our team is made up of talented and passionate professionals who work together to bring stories to life. We are urgently looking for a Pipeline Support Officer to join our Amsterdam studio and assist all productions in resolving pipeline-related issues. Main Responsibilities: • Interact with artists, production teams, and other departments to effectively solve pipelinerelated problems. • Help define efficient workflows and promote best practices for projects and the facility. • Apply technical fixes to scenes to pass down the pipeline. • Program tools to improve the workflow of artists. • Work with a wide range of people, including 3D animators, riggers, modelers, lighters, and compositors, to improve upon our existing pipeline. • Act as a liaison for communicating technical issues to Production, R&D, and IT. • Test and debug code and tools to ensure stability and usability. • Ensure tools and processes meet the overall pipeline framework. • Work closely with the Head of Technology to prioritize production needs. • Educate artists on how to work with the pipeline and department tools. Experience and Requirements: • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability. • Orderly and structured approach to work. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Proficiency in software and tools used in the animation and VFX industry, such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, and render farms. • Good knowledge of the programming language Python. • Experience in an animation or VFX environment is a plus. • Based in Amsterdam, working remote is not possible. • Available to start ASAP.
