Job Description Job   Description IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide . We   are currently seeking   a   Pipefitter /Gasfitter Journeyman   to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant.    This plant produces granules   from raw material   for our   vertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation. Job Summary The   Pipefitter /Gasfitter Journeyman   is   responsible for   installing, assembling,   maintaining , testing, and repairing piping systems that transport natural gas, propane, steam, water, air, and other industrial fluids. This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications, fabricate pipe systems, and ensure compliance with applicable   safety and regulatory requirements .    This role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. Job Responsibilities • Install, assemble,   modify , maintain, and repair gas and piping systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and piping schematics. • Measure, cut, thread, bend, weld, and fit pipe according to project requirements. • Install valves, regulators, meters, couplings, and other piping components. • Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system inspections. • Troubleshoot and repair piping system malfunctions and equipment failures. • Ensure installations   comply with   local, state, federal, and industry codes and standards. • Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe-threading machines, and testing equipment. • Coordinate work with contractors, engineers, supervisors, and other trades personnel. • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols. • Utilizing   Maximo   computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) . • Maintain   accurate   records of inspections, repairs, and completed work. • Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications • Proven experience working in and   maintaining   a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices • Journeyman Pipefitter/Gas f itter certification preferred . • Experience installing and   maintaining   commercial, industrial, or utility piping systems. • Knowledge of gas distribution systems, piping materials, and industry practices. • Knowledge of   gas fitting , pipefitting, fabrication, and installation techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Understanding   applicable safety regulations and building codes. • Ability to perform pipe layout, measurement, and system testing. • Proficiency   with welding, brazing, soldering, threading, and fitting methods. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Proficient   operating computers • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent attention to detail and workmanship quality. • Ability to meet deadlines while   maintaining   safety and quality standards. • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities • M ust be able to work in a team setting with   other   tradesman • Rotating   shifts , holidays, and overtime may be  required . • Must wear  the required  personal protective equipment (PPE). • Ability to  lift up  to 50 pounds. • Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment. • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as  required . • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Safety and Compliance The   Pipefitter /Gasfitter Journeyman   is expected to   comply with   all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times .    The   Welder   Journeyman   must prioritize safety in all   tasks .    This is a   safety   sensitive position.
