Description
Surespan is seeking Bridgeman for various constructions projects across BC . These are all full time, permanent positions for the right candidates and provide strong opportunities for growth and stability.
Functions of this role include:
• Working with the site superintendent and foreman to receive and complete tasks required
• Perform bridgeman and piledriver duties including bridge construction, repairs, formwork, timber, steel, and concrete installations.
• Install, align, and dismantle falsework, shoring, and temporary structures.
• Assist with pile driving operations, including preparation, rigging, and supporting crane and hammer activities.
• Safely rig loads, signal crane operators, and participate in lifting operations.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and work plans.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment required for bridge and heavy civil work.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install structural components.
• Perform concrete placement, finishing support, and structural repairs as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations.
• Assist other trades and crew members as required to meet project objectives
What you Bring:
• Minimum 2 year construction labour experience
• Proven history of safe practice working on construction sites and around heavy-duty equipment
• Willingness and ability to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.)
• Good work ethic and attitude towards hard work and long hours
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise
• Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, heavy-duty machinery, and equipment
• A desire to build and grow your career within a well-establish organization across western Canada .
• Willingness to travel and work on rotational schedules throughout British Columbia.
