Starting Pay Range
$50.00 - $57.50 - Hourly Depending on experience
Job Description:
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
• Collaborate in the development of appropriate IEPs and IFSPs
• Recommend appropriate accommodations and modifications tailored to the specific needs of the student
• Serve on interdisciplinary teams evaluating students with suspected gross and/or fine motor issues as well as any physical mobility needs.
• Review student records, organize information, and determine appropriate assessment battery.
• Observe students; assess, evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and write reports.
• Assess students’ physical motor skills and functioning and make recommendations.
• Participate in the decision-making process regarding special placement of students.
• Participate in Individual Education Program meetings with students and parents as needed.
• Evaluates effects of physical therapy treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.

• Maintain legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, and professional standards.
• Update job knowledge by tracking trends in new techniques and approaches; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
• Interpersonal Skills
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction programs proven to be beneficial to pupils with special learning needs.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Ability to communicate well with students, parents and teachers.
• Five years of successful Physical Therapist experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
• PT degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program and pass a state licensure exam.
