Photographer (Luxury Interior Design & Real Estate) Company: Waverly Staging + Design Location: New York City (On-Site) Job Type: Freelance / Contract About Waverly Staging + Design Waverly Staging + Design is a luxury home staging and interior design firm specializing in high-end residential properties throughout New York City. We transform exceptional homes into beautifully curated spaces that help properties sell faster and for top dollar. We're looking for a talented photographer who can capture not only our finished work, but also the creative process behind it. The Role We are seeking an experienced photographer with a strong eye for interiors, composition, lighting, and social media content creation. This role consists of two on-site shoot days per month. During these scheduled shoot days, you will visit approximately five professionally staged properties throughout New York City to capture high-quality photography and video content. For each property, you will be responsible for delivering: A minimum of 40 professionally edited photographs 2 edited Instagram Reels A combination of wide-angle room shots, architectural details, styling moments, and lifestyle-focused content suitable for luxury marketing On some content days, you will also capture behind-the-scenes footage of our staging process, including furniture deliveries, unboxing, artwork installation, styling, designer walkthroughs, and other moments that showcase the transformation of each space. Following each month's shoot days, you will professionally edit all photos and videos and submit them for review and approval. Once approved, the content will be provided to our remote Social Media Manager, who will use it to create our social media campaigns. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity for someone who can consistently produce polished, luxury-focused visual content that reflects the Waverly Staging + Design brand. Responsibilities Travel to multiple staged properties throughout New York City during scheduled shoot days Photograph luxury staged interiors using professional camera equipment Capture high-quality video footage for Instagram Reels and other short-form social media content Photograph behind-the-scenes moments of the staging process when scheduled Professionally edit all photos and videos to match Waverly Staging + Design's established aesthetic Deliver organized, high-resolution files within agreed deadlines Collaborate with our remote Social Media Manager throughout the review and approval process Make revisions when necessary before final delivery Qualifications Professional photography experience (interior design, architecture, luxury real estate, hospitality, or related fields preferred) Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, and interior photography Experience creating engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing software Reliable transportation throughout New York City on scheduled shoot days (MTA) Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent brand standards Equipment Requirements Professional DSLR or mirrorless camera required Professional lenses suitable for interior photography Stabilization equipment (gimbal/tripod) for video content preferred Photography and video may NOT be captured on a phone.
