Job Summary The Role The Philanthropy Co-ordinator will: • Support Philanthropy Fundraising with researching, prospecting, approaching and acknowledgement of Major Donors and grant giving organisations. • Write thorough and impactful applications to gain support for the hospice • Follow the hospice supporter care process to ensure excellent acknowledgement, supporter recognition and further donor potential • Provide timely and accurate administration of legacy pledges and notifications for the delivery of income. • Support with the organization and development of bespoke cultivation events to keep key supporters informed about the work and developments of the charity • Produce monthly reports detailing and analysing fundraising data and activity, projection against budget and analysis of risks and opportunities • Contribute to the setting of the Philathropy Fundraising income budget, monitoring progress closely throughout the year • Plan work in conjunction with the Philanthropy Fundraiser and Fundraising Manager which will inform and facilitate achievement of the income budget. • Work closely with the communications team to ensure promotional activity, appropriate supporter stories are shared and cultivation events are promoted effectively. • Maintain thorough record keeping in line with the St Ann’s Hospice and Fundraising Regulator policies and guidelines. • Fulfill additional duties as required by Philanthropy Fundraising for the benefit of the hospice Requirements The Philanthropy Co-ordinator will: • Be educated to GCSE level • Have working experience that demonstrates excellent and adaptable communication and administration skills • Have strong analytical skills and a strong eye for detail • Have experience of working with donors in a fundraising environment • Demonstrate experience of excellent supporter care • Have the ability to meet deadlines • Be confident in communicating with external supporters including public speaking, delivering presentations, letter-writing and telephone skills • Have excellent IT skills, including experience the use of an organisational database The Philanthropy Co-ordinator will be able to: • Have the ability to travel to events and meetings, with required event/fundraising materials across Greater Manchester • Demonstrate commitment to equal opportunities and diversity • Work flexibly, including some out of hours as business required (Time in Lieu policy in place) • Keep up to date with fundraising knowledge, current trends and activities within community fundraising across various charities • Alongside the fundraising team, play an active role in reviewing fundraising related policies • Demonstrate commitment and motivation to the values and purpose of the hospice in their daily work • Understand and adhere to fundraising regulations including Data Protection and the Fundraising Regulator Key Benefits • 35 days annual leave rising to 37 after 5 years and 41 after 10 years (inc. bank holidays, pro rata for part-time employees) • Buy an additional week annual leave (pro rata for part-time) • Heath cash plan • Contributory pension scheme up to 7% matched contribution (or the ability to continue with a previously held NHS pension (subject to making contribution’s into the scheme in the previous 12 months) • Life cover • Free parking • Discounted meals on site • Meaningful work, making a difference in the lives of others • Opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a structured development framework • IIP Platinum employer creating the right environment for everyone to thrive and reach their potential How to Apply If you would like to contribute to making a difference for a much-loved charity, we’d love to hear from you.
