Job Description Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a PRN Pharmacist.  In this role the pharmacist properly checks, prepares, and distributes medications, and ensures proper control measures of medication and medication storage areas.  Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Key Responsibilities: • Conducts and oversees the preparation and dispensing of medications, guided by professional standards of practice. • Receive prescriptions and medication orders from providers • Check medication orders for proper dosing, contraindications, interactions • Prepares, fills, and dispenses medications based upon physician orders • Assesses the appropriateness of medications prescribed, monitors medication effects on the patient and provides drug information to hospital and medical staff • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in planning, developing, coordinating and controlling pharmacy department functions and in training, supervising and evaluating pharmacy support personnel • Orders CII controlled substances and maintain control of all controlled substances Required Qualifications: • Bachelor in Pharmacy • Pharmacy license in state of practice Preferred Qualifications: • PharmD • 2 years Hospital Pharmacy experience 
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
