FSAP and PETA - PETA Latino South America Special Projects Coordinator PETA Latino South America Special Projects Coordinator PETA Latino South America Special Projects Coordinator Fully Remote • PETA Job Type Full-time Description Position Objective: To develop campaigns and generate media coverage, and celebrity and influencer support to advance PETA Latino’s objectives across Latin America, with a focus on Colombia and Argentina Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Stay on top of regional popular culture and news, and look for opportunities for PETA Latino to get its message in the news • Work with the PETA Latino team to brainstorm new projects to ensure ongoing media coverage of PETA Latino’s work • Assist in organizing pro-animal demonstrations across Latin America • Assist in organizing celebrity and influencer projects, including photo shoots, and the production and editing of print, radio, and TV commercials, as well as social media campaigns • Research, develop, and maintain relationships with music and entertainment industry professionals in Latin America, including celebrities, influencers, and their representatives, with a focus on Argentina and Colombia • Write scripts, ad copy, and text for celebrity correspondence and campaigns • Develop target lists and media strategy, and service news releases for issue and campaign coverage • Travel internationally and domestically on assignments • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor Requirements • College degree in communications or a related field, or equivalent experience • Minimum of two years of communications, campaigning, marketing, or public relations experience • Fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) • Proven interest in and strong working knowledge of Latin American culture • Knowledge of animal liberation issues and PETA Campaigns • Sophisticated understanding of creative work • Ability to conduct and analyze marketing research • Excellent project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional manner • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally • Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to advocate PETA's positions on issues professionally • Commitment to the objectives of the organization The hourly pay range for this position is $21.23 - $26.55 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
