Our established grooming facility has a full appointment schedule and a loyal clientele, so you’ll have the opportunity to begin grooming immediately without needing to build a client base from scratch. Why You’ll Love It Here Begin grooming immediately with an established and loyal client base Work from a full appointment schedule without having to build your book from scratch Bring your existing clients with you if you already have an established clientele Earn 50% commission plus tips Join a supportive, compassionate, and professional hospital team Collaborate with veterinary medical staff when pets have overlapping care needs Build trusted relationships with clients and their pets Start part-time with the potential to transition into a full-time role What You’ll Do Provide professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trims Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and preferences Handle and restrain pets calmly, gently, and safely throughout the grooming process Protect the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in your care Monitor pets’ health and behavior during grooming appointments Report health or behavioral concerns to the pet owner or veterinary team as appropriate Maintain accurate records of each pet’s grooming history Keep the grooming area clean, organized, and properly maintained Collaborate with the hospital’s medical staff regarding overlapping patient needs Provide attentive, professional service that builds long-term client relationships What You’ll Bring Previous professional pet grooming experience Strong bathing, brushing, haircutting, and nail-trimming skills Safe, calm, and compassionate animal-handling techniques Strong customer service and client communication skills The ability to understand and follow specific grooming requests Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work The ability to recognize and communicate health or behavioral concerns Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills A clean, professional, and safety-focused approach to the grooming environment A collaborative attitude and willingness to work with the veterinary medical team The Extras You’ll Actually Feel At Windham Animal Hospital, you won’t have to spend months building a client base before your schedule fills.
