Pest Control / Field Technician Job Description Our technicians are trained to travel from our office in Cool Springs (near the mall) to customer's homes to apply treatments with a gas-powered backpack blower that keep their yard mosquito/pest free for 21 days. The number of hours worked per week varies but will typically be 4-6 days and 35-45 hours (we pay overtime). You must pass a state certification test, we will provide all study material and pay all expenses. Pest Control / Field Technician Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and other outdoor pests • Thoroughly explain to the customer the expectations for services and procedures • Maintain good customer relationships • Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements • Maintain clean and well-organized service vehicles • Handle pesticides in safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations • Complete pesticide certification requirements and complete continuing education requirements • Able to walk customer property while carrying equipment weight over 60lbs. for long periods of time in warm temperatures • Comfortable driving to customer locations • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours Pest Control / Field Technician Required Education and Experience • Valid driver’s license Pest Control / Field Technician Relevant Experience (Not Required) • Applicator • Lawn Care Applicator • Technician • General Labor • Technician • Pest Control Pest Control / Field Technician Key Competencies • Good driving record • Self-confident • Professional • Friendly • Good customer service skills • Detail oriented • Reliable
