The child communicates using Proloquo2Go, objects of reference, and pointing. The ideal candidate will be understanding, supportive, and able to provide a safe and engaging environment while encouraging communication, independence, and enjoyment through activities. Key Responsibilities: • Providing personal care support • Offering behavioural support in a calm and positive manner • Supporting communication needs as the child uses non-verbal communication methods • Encouraging participation in enjoyable activities such as: • Music (listening and playing instruments) • Visiting parks and the beach • Trips to bouncy castles • Completing jigsaws • Reading • Scooter rides Working Hours • 4 hours per week during school holidays • Additional hours may become available • Cleator Moor Requirements • Previous experience supporting children or individuals with additional needs is essential • Enhanced DBS check required (funded by the employer) • Full driving licence preferred • Due to the child’s needs, dogs cannot be present during support sessions.
