21 year old man with epilepsy seeks personal assistant to support on a weekly basis with social support (no personal care)
Advertised on behalf of a customer:
I am able to manage my own personal care and will manage my own medical needs. However, I am looking for some emotional support and support to manage calendar with all appointments. I am also looking for someone to accompany me to do social activities and help consider what voluntary or training/education I can undertake with my present condition.
I am looking for someone longer term to build relationship and trust by meeting on a regular basis.
A knowledge or specialism in epilepsy is not necessary as I manage it myself, however training in epilepsy first aid can be given for free with Epilepsy Action (charity), or more advanced training can be given for £30 which my social worker can support to arrange.
