Cpl Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) on behalf of a well-established nursing home. This is a key leadership role, responsible for the overall clinical and operational management of the centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Act as the clinical and operational lead for the designated centre • Oversee the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring safe and effective care delivery • Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary team • Ensure compliance with all relevant HIQA regulations, standards, and national guidelines • Maintain a strong understanding of residents’ clinical, social, and emotional needs • Promote a rights-based, person-centred approach to care • Manage resources effectively, including staffing and occupancy levels • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and senior management • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Essential Requirements • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with older persons within the last 6 years • At least 3 years’ experience in a nurse management role • Previous senior nursing experience in a regulated care environment • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) • Relevant post-registration qualification (minimum QQI Level 6 or equivalent) Desirable / Ongoing Requirements • Commitment to complete (by March 2028): • A Level 8 management/leadership qualification, or • A Level 9 postgraduate nursing qualification with a leadership/management module • Strong knowledge of dementia care and managing responsive behaviours (BPSD) • Proven leadership, organisational, and change management skills What’s on Offer • Highly competitive salary package (dependent on experience) • Opportunity to lead within a supportive and reputable organisation • Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities Enquiries to [email protected] LI-ER1#PLUS
