Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Sutton-in-Ashfield Key Details: • Working Days: Full-time, 35 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays • Hours: Daytime shifts with a regular fixed weekday off, Saturdays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, no out-of-hours • Duties: Consultations and routine surgeries, minimal sole charge, support for non-routine procedures • Salary: The package includes a competitive salary up to £60,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience, generous CPD with five days funded, paid professional memberships, and a comprehensive benefits programme. About the Role: • The client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive small animal team. • The role suits an ambitious clinician who is confident with routine procedures and comfortable with occasional sole charge. There is structured support for non-routine cases. Advanced qualifications are welcomed and may attract an increased salary. • The position is full time at 35 hours per week with a consistent weekday off and 1 in 4 Saturdays. There is no out-of-hours requirement. About the Practice: • The practice is a locally owned small animal clinic that prioritises value for money and transparent pricing. Estimates are provided in advance, and common fees are readily available to clients. • The team comprises four vets, seven Registered Veterinary Nurses, client care advisors, and a practice manager, with regular placements for student nurses and vet students. Facilities include a full in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, a high-spec ultrasound with cardiac probe, ECG, and tonopen. • The practice culture encourages teaching, collaboration, and certificate progression.
