Classification: The Basque Centre for Applied Mathematics (BCAM), together with IKERBASQUE invites applications for one permanent position in APPLIED STATISTICS. This call is open both to: • Established researchers, postdoctoral researchers who conduct research independently, with an established reputation based on research excellence in their field (a permanent Research Associate position). • Senior leading researchers, with international reputation based on research excellence in their field and a proven record in securing significant research funding (a permanent Research Professor position). The candidates are expected to be outstanding scholars with a proven record of achievements and demonstrated potential to lead and sustain ambitious internationally recognized, competitively funded research programs that complement and extend the strengths of BCAM in the area of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates are required to have developed not only outstanding methodological research in the field of Statistics but also multidisciplinary applications in collaboration with research institutions, companies, and policymakers, and to have produced efficient computational tools and algorithms for solving real-life applications. Applicants must have a PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related fields.
