Description
Own the numbers. Scale what works. Kill what doesn't. We're not looking for someone to "support campaigns." We're looking for someone to run performance marketing end to end: strategy, execution, and the numbers that prove it's working. Freelancer Limited is an ASX-listed company behind some of the most recognised marketplaces on the internet: Freelancer.com, the world's largest freelancing and crowdsourcing platform, with 90+ million users and fourteen Webby Awards Escrow.com, the global payments platform that's safeguarded over US$8 billion in transactions LoadShift, Australia's largest heavy-haulage freight marketplace, moving more freight than the distance to the moon every weekday, and 1 billion km to date You'll plug into a genuinely global team, with daily contact across Sydney, Vancouver, London, Manila, San Francisco, and Bangalore, inside a flat, fast, feedback-rich culture where the work speaks louder than the org chart. What you'll actually do Own performance across the funnel.  Awareness through activation through retention, with a relentless focus on the numbers driving each stage. Where performance is leaking, you find it and you fix it. Run real budgets and defend every dollar.  You'll manage significant paid media spend across search ($100k+/mo Google Ads tROAS) and social (up to $500k+/mo across channels), and you'll be measured on outcomes, not impressions. You speak CAC, ROAS, payback, and LTV fluently, and you optimise toward them relentlessly. Live where the audience lives.  Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, X. You understand how each platform actually behaves in 2026, what "native" means on each, and how creators, short-form video, and paid social work together. You brief, test, and scale creative that earns attention instead of buying it grudgingly. Write copy that converts.  You can go from a blank page to a headline, a hook, an ad, a landing page, and an email sequence that moves people to act. Clear beats clever. You know the difference, and you can prove it in the metrics. Drive performance strategy across the group.  You'll build and execute paid acquisition and growth strategy across Freelancer.com, Escrow.com, and LoadShift, coordinating with Sales, Product, PR, and our Partnerships program to launch campaigns that generate real pipeline. Build the retention engine.  Personalisation, lifecycle, and retention programs that keep users coming back and lift lifetime value, not just top-of-funnel spikes. What we're looking for A track record with real budgets. You've managed larger ad budgets and delivered measurable, defensible results: growth you can point to and explain how you got there. Performance-first mindset. You've been judged on CAC, ROAS, payback, and LTV, not vanity metrics, and you optimise toward them daily. Native social fluency. Hands-on, advanced experience running and scaling paid and organic on Instagram, TikTok, and the wider social ecosystem, with a real grip on segmentation, audiences, and creative that performs on each platform. Conversion copywriting. You write persuasive, on-brand copy across ads, landing pages, email, and long-form content, and you know how to test and improve it. 5+ years in performance or digital marketing, ideally including SaaS or marketplace businesses (B2B and B2C), with hands-on experience across multi-channel campaigns, lead gen, and reporting. A data-first operator's instinct. Google Ads, GA4, CRM, email, and campaign tooling are second nature. You learn new software fast and automate what you can. Self-starter energy. You work with little direction, chase the opportunity in every problem, and stay calm under pressure. Team-first attitude. You'll step out of your lane to help the team win. One team, one dream. Excellent English, written and verbal, with the ability to make complex ideas land simply. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
