Description
Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all age groups.  Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation. Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI Equipment , producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness. Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.  Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and Members. Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately  Review schedule for any gaps in coverage Compensation: $80-100/hr Requirements Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required  5-10 years of MRI experience, previous supervisory experience  preferred  Must be a graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.  Certification: ARRT (MR) Certified and in good standing. California State License (CRT). Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required. Commitment: Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage. (ARRT). Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth. IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-months’ orientation. MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly. Preferred Qualification MRSO/ MRSE certification from American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety Schedule Potential for weekend availability as we scale west coast region
