Location: New York. This is a hybrid role, must live in the NY tri state area and be able to go into office 2 days a week (Tuesday plus a Wednesday or Thursday,) subject to change at any time.

What You Would Get To Do
The People Engagement Intern will help drive meaningful employee experiences across our global teams. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to collaborate across different departments, contribute to internal programs, and support initiatives that make FIRST a great place to work. As the People Engagement Intern, you will assist in the research, planning, and execution of internal activities, including on-site events, virtual wellness challenges, and global communications through our intranet and other platforms. Reporting to the Engagement Manager, you will take on a variety of tasks that enhance workplace culture and foster employee connection.
Your Contributions
Identify opportunities to enhance engagement programs and propose creative solutions to drive participation
Maintain the engagement calendar and supportive project plans to track upcoming events and activities and ensure seamless delivery
Actively participate in internal meetings, recording notes, follow-ups, and action tasks to maintain momentum and engagement
Develop and propose engagement activities by brainstorming creative themes, content ideas, and networking opportunities that deepen employee connection
Attend virtual and in-office events, actively participating in planning and collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate logistics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute engagement initiatives across all regions
Help organize and promote FIRST-led volunteer opportunities and community engagement activities across all regions
Assist in writing and curating content for internal platforms, including the intranet and digital communications
Help collect, analyze, and report on employee feedback from surveys, event participation, and engagement activities to identify trends and areas for improvement

Comfortable working with diverse teams
Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google Suite
Experience with Canva (preferred but not required)
Skilled in Google Sheets/ Excel for creating and updating planning worksheets
Working Conditions:
