Description
We're looking for an experienced People Advisor to join us on a part time basis! You'll join a friendly team of 2 existing Advisors, providing high quality ER advice and support to our managers on a wide range of cases. Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays About us We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people. In 2024 we launched our five-year Corporate Strategy, which runs to 2029. Our purpose is to provide high quality homes, services, and support to our customers, so we’ve worked with colleagues and customers to find out what’s important to them. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives. Duties include: Provide high-quality employee relations (ER) advice and support to managers on a wide range of cases. Contribute to the development of people policies, projects and procedures. Work collaboratively with the People Team to ensure best practices and a positive employee experience. Act as the first point of contact for managers seeking advice on ER matters. Manage a caseload of ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and attendance issues, ensuring timely and fair resolutions. Support managers in preparing for formal meetings, including hearings, investigations, and appeals. Capture and track all advice and key case details in the case management system. Assist with the production of reports on ER activity, trends, and key risks. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying themes and recommending policy or process enhancements. Provide professional advice and guidance on the management of healthrelated casework, including reasonable adjustments, return to work, and illhealth retirements. Contribute to the development and review of people policies, ensuring they remain fit for purpose. Work closely with People Team colleagues to deliver a seamless and effective People service. Support the delivery of cross-functional People projects and organisational change activity. Assist in the review and development of policies, processes, and systems to improve the colleague experience.
