• PCC Habaneros Food Service Assistant
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service, to make and serve food items according to specific recipes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting every guest that comes in
• Operating the Point of Sale (POS)/register properly
• Handling different methods of payment
• Learning and implementing all food and drink recipes
• Actively completing all side tasks/necessary cleaning tasks to keep the shop clean and sanitary at all times
• Stocking/restocking items in the shop
• Maintain organized and professional appearance in all areas at all times
• Work with constituents of Pioneer and the seminary including faculty, staff, students, alumni and guests on a daily basis. Must be professional and accommodating within the established guidelines. This will require self-confidence, respect and knowledge while working with customers
Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION:
Some basic education is required; high school diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One year customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
SUPERVISION:
This person is supervised by the Assistant Food Service Director and/or Founders Supervisors, Chefs and Food Service Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a kitchen work environment; must follow proper safety procedures, stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
EQUIPMENT:
The person in this position will use the following equipment:
Cash Register, Steam Tables, Warmer, Beverage Machines, kitchen utensils, and panini presses.
