Payroll Transformation Consultant / Global Payroll Specialist £800 per day | Outside IR35 | 9-Month Contract - Remote, with occasional Midlands travel Stanton House is exclusively partnering with a global organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Transformation Consultant to lead the stabilisation and improvement of a complex international payroll function. Following a challenging global payroll implementation, the business requires an experienced specialist to assess current processes, document workflows and SOPs, clarify ownership and responsibilities, review third-party provider performance, and recommend a future-state payroll operating model. Key Responsibilities • Assess and remediate current payroll processes and controls. • Map end-to-end payroll workflows and document SOPs. • Define governance, roles, responsibilities, and process ownership. • Evaluate outsourced payroll services and identify improvement opportunities. • Recommend and support the implementation of a future global payroll operating model. • Partner closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and PMO stakeholders to drive change. Candidate Requirements • Proven experience leading global payroll transformation, remediation, or stabilisation programmes. • Strong international payroll experience across multiple countries. • Experience designing payroll operating models and governance frameworks. • Hands-on approach with the ability to work strategically and operationally. • Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills. • Team leadership experience essential. • Oracle HR/HCM exposure desirable. Contract Details • Up to 9 months in duration. • £800 per day. • Predominantly remote with occasional travel to the Midlands. • Immediate start preferred.
