An opportunity has arisen to join a global engineering business, based North Aberdeenshire, in a key payroll leadership role. Working within a collaborative finance function, you'll take ownership of the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while driving continuous improvements to systems, controls and procedures. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Supervising and supporting the payroll team, coordinating workloads and priorities • Reviewing and improving payroll processes, systems and controls • Working closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll information • Managing pension reporting and statutory payroll requirements • Producing payroll reports and carrying out internal payroll audits • Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of payroll systems To be successful, you'll have: • Previous experience within a payroll environment • Experience supervising or leading a payroll team, or the ambition to step into a leadership role • A strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills • Confidence using Microsoft Office and payroll systems • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
