This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to join a supportive finance team where accuracy, compliance and attention to detail are highly valued. Working as part of the wider finance function, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring employees are paid correctly and all statutory requirements are met. Payroller Responsibilities • Processing monthly payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines • Managing payroll from start to finish for a designated employee population • Processing starters, leavers, salary changes and employee amendments • Calculating holiday pay, overtime, bonuses and other payroll adjustments • Processing statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP • Completing payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepancies • Preparing and submitting RTI information to HMRC • Administering workplace pension contributions and auto-enrolment • Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers • Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records • Assisting with year-end payroll processes, including P11Ds and payroll reporting • Keeping up to date with changes to payroll legislation and ensuring compliance • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties when required Payroller Experience Required To be successful in your application, you must have the following: • Previous experience working in a standalone or high-volume payroll position • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes • Experience processing payroll from start to finish • Good knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payments • Experience with RTI submissions and workplace pensions • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally Desirable: • Experience using payroll software such as Sage Payroll, Xero, ADP, BrightPay or similar • CIPP qualification or working towards one • Experience managing payroll for multiple sites or companies • Experience supporting year-end payroll processes What’s on Offer?
