Description Patient Services/RHC Coordinator - Full Time Front Desk - Hospital This position requires a blend of professionalism, competence, friendliness, multitasking ability, strong interpersonal skills, and self-motivation. These qualities are essential for effectively managing the demands of the role and contributing to a positive work environment. Essential Functions: Telephone Management: Answering calls professionally, assessing needs, and transferring calls as necessary. Receptionist/Clerical Duties: Performing general receptionist and clerical duties as needed. Patient Interaction: Greeting patients and visitors warmly, assisting them with their needs. Patient Registration: Registering patients for various services, updating insurance information, and obtaining necessary signatures. Insurance Verification: Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorizations when required. Patient Discharge and Readmission: Handling the administrative aspects of patient discharge and readmission processes. General Office Coordinator: Assisting staff with various tasks like locating personnel, photocopying, faxing, and maintaining office supplies. Front Office Coordinator: Ensuring the front office is well-organized and accessible to all staff members. Mail Handling: Sorting and distributing mail to appropriate recipients. Petty Cash Management: Managing petty cash, including disbursing money, collecting receipts, and balancing accounts. Supporting HIM Department: Assisting the Health Information Management (HIM) department with tasks like scanning charts, preparing documents, and supplying forms to patients. Patient Survey Administration: Mailing patient satisfaction surveys, collecting and analyzing results. Resident Family List Maintenance: Updating lists of resident family members. Collaborating with the Billing Department: Providing support to the billing department as required. Team Management: Participating in the hiring process for front desk staff and training new hires.
