Hope and Healing Clinic is seeking a Patient Safety Driver who is eager to support their new clinic located in Tumwater, WA.

As a Member Transportation Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our members receive the healthcare they need, transporting them safely and with kindness.

What We’re Looking For:
Strong interpersonal skills and a love for working with people
A safe and reliable driver with a clean driving record
Empathy, patience, and a passion for service
Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and professionalism
Experience with, or willingness to learn, trauma-informed de-escalation approaches
Responsibilities:
Drives a transit bus or van over assigned routes within an established time schedule.
Loads and unloads passengers safely at designated stops; ensures passenger safety in crossing the street.
Maintains control of passengers on vehicle; responds to parents and other citizens concerning transportation schedules and problems.
Inspects vehicle prior to trips to ensure safe operation; reports any mechanical defects or malfunctions; refuels vehicles, checks and maintains fluid levels.
Sweeps and maintains vehicles in clean and orderly condition.
Completes transportation records such as number of passengers transported, mileage, special runs, route directions, etc.
Ensures record keeping and adheres to the oral and written transportation policy and procedures.
May transport passengers with special learning needs and physical challenges; may operate power lifts to load and unload passengers in wheelchairs; may strap and tie down wheelchairs to ensure student safety.
Because of the clinic’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
Position Requirements
Education & Certifications:
Must possess a High School diploma and be over the age of 18.
Driver’s license with specific endorsements/restrictions is required.
Must pass a criminal background check, a dru
