Our office, Connecticut Oral Surgery Centers - Meriden, is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. Our office is looking for a talented and pleasant patient care coordinator to take on all administrative and front office duties to provide an exceptional experience to all patients and visitors. Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for making a positive and lasting first impression. The ideal candidate should bridge the gap between customer obsession and clerical management. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while during their visit which means the following: Welcoming patients to the dental office Maintaining accurate patient records Answering all incoming calls and redirecting them or keeping messages Check, sort and forward emails Keep updates records and files Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.) No weekends As an essential member of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed. Your Background You are a resourceful Patient Care Coordinator that strives to ensure patients receive the experience they deserve. You're a team player that is adaptable to new and challenging tasks. You’re an enthusiastic, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who is always proactively striving for excellence. You also have the following: No experience required but preferred Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.) Strong communication and people skills Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities Problem-solving skills Customer service orientation A high school diploma Desires to help your patients Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate standard office equipment Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations If this sounds like you, you will fit right in with the team!
