Parts Supervisor
Willshee’s operate out of 3 depots 2 of which are located in Burton-on-Trent, along with our head office, and our new purpose- built Materials Recycling Facility which officially opened in Swadlincote in March 2021.
Willshees is seeking an experienced and organised Parts Supervisor to manage the procurement, control, and availability of parts for our fleet of vehicles, plant, and machinery. The successful candidate will ensure that the workshop has the right parts at the right time by maintaining accurate stock levels, sourcing parts efficiently, and building strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
• Order parts for HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant, machinery, and equipment.
• Chase outstanding parts orders and ensure deliveries arrive on time.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory to minimise vehicle and plant downtime.
• Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Source parts from approved suppliers while achieving the best value and availability.
• Process deliveries, check goods received, and ensure parts are correctly stored and labelled.
• Work closely with workshop supervisors and technicians to identify parts requirements and priorities.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and implement improvements to stock control.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve any supply issues promptly.
• Ensure the parts department is clean, organised, and compliant with company procedures.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a parts, stores, or inventory role within commercial vehicles, plant, machinery, agricultural, or heavy equipment sectors.
• Good knowledge of vehicle, plant, and machinery components.
• Experience using stock control or parts management systems.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

About the Role
This is a key position within the engineering team. The Parts Supervisor plays a vital role in keeping Willshees’ fleet of vehicles, plant, and machinery operating efficiently by ensuring the right parts are available when needed, helping minimise downtime and maximise operational performance.
