Description
Job Description: To support the Parts and Warehouse function in the supply of parts to the Workshop, driving improvements in working efficiencies and Customer Service Levels, through proactive planning and communication with the Service Team on Workshop repairs. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Workshop: • Provide a timely and efficient parts delivery process for all workshop repairs (planned/unplanned), liaising with workshop personnel as required • Perform routine checks for parts supply on all workshop jobs • Ensure a fast, efficient & accurate delivery of components to relevant jobs in the Workshop • Pre- Picking of parts and order planning for Workshop jobs • Prepare and process all parts related documentation • Liaising with suppliers for ordering non-Volvo parts. • Ensuring job cards contain correct parts information ready for the admin team to invoice, and in a timely fashion. • Prepare & provide quotes (pricing of parts) for Workshop jobs • Execute the Warranty Returns process & Working within the Volvo returns policy (DCR) • Assist with the management and control of all Workshop related parts administration • Manage and co-ordinate the supply of special tools/consumables to Technicians • Ensure pallets are stacked and strapped for returns to be carried out Warehouse: • Coordination of deliveries • Allocation of stock • Control of Parts stock General: • Deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times • Cover front counter parts sales and telesales as and when required • Maintain high standards of general housekeeping in the Warehouse & Workshop areas • Adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to the Depot Manager • Report faulty facility / equipment promptly • Participate in training and development programs as required by the Company • Undertake any other duties or activities as required Skills Profile: • Motor Trade experience • Technical knowledge of motor vehicles • Forklift licence • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints • Highly organised • Excellent communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Flexible approach to work tasks • Strong forward planning and follow up skills ensuring all item requests closed out • Computer literate (Excel / Outlook / systems) Essential Requirements • Extensive knowledge of vehicle type and parts, HGV experience would be preferable. • Confident utilizing a computerized parts system • Experience of stock management and following parts processes with attention to detail. • Experience with handling warranty • An effective communicator with commitment to provide excellent customer service. • Organizational skills and ability to work on own initiative under pressure. • The ability to work efficiently as an individual but also as part of a team
