Part-Time Interior Design Assistant
Location: Hermosa Beach, CA (Hybrid – In Studio & On Site)
Hours: 20- 30 hours per week
Compensation: Based on experience

We’re looking for a highly organized Interior Design Assistant to support our team with the day-to-day operations of multiple residential projects.
Position OverviewThis is a support role focused on the daily operations of our design projects, not creating the designs themselves. The Interior Design Assistant will work closely with the Principal Designer to coordinate vendors, manage project logistics, organize materials, track orders, and keep projects moving efficiently from concept through installation.
The ideal candidate has previous experience working in the interior design industry and understands the design process, vendor relationships, construction timelines, and the many moving pieces involved in residential projects.
Responsibilities· Coordinate and track furniture, lighting, plumbing, tile, wallpaper, and décor orders.
· Follow up with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, shipping, and deliveries.
· Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
· Maintain project schedules, specifications, and digital project files.
· Organize material samples, finish binders, and the studio library.
· Assist in assembling client presentations and specification packages.
· Schedule meetings, site visits, deliveries, and installations.
· Communicate with contractors, vendors, and clients regarding project updates.
· Visit job sites to document progress, take measurements, and assist during installations.
· Coordinate punch lists and follow up on outstanding items.
· Run local errands, including sample pickups, returns, and product sourcing.
· Assist with installation days, styling, and project wrap-up.
· Maintain organization within the studio and support the team with administrative tasks as needed.
QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience working in an interior design firm, architecture firm, design showroom, or similar design-related environment.
· Strong understanding of the residential interior design process and construction timelines.
· Familiarity with furniture, lighting, plumbing, tile, cabinetry, and finish selections.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable multitasking and managing several projects simultaneously.
· Detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
· Experience with Studio Designer, Design Manager, Ivy, Houzz Pro, or similar software is a plus.
· Reliable transportation for local job site visits and errands.
