Our team combines hands-on financial leadership experience with expert recruitment know-how. Role Overview You’ll be a key driver in sourcing, engaging, and placing Fractional Finance Directors and CFOs —high-calibre, strategic finance professionals working flexibly—in the Midlands region. Based in Cannock, you’ll be on-site two days per week, collaborating closely with our London and Shropshire teams to support regional growth. Key Responsibilities • Head-hunt fractional senior finance candidates —including CFOs, FDs, and Heads of Finance—for part-time or project-based assignments. • Use your local network and proactive sourcing (LinkedIn, referrals, events) to build a talent pool of board-ready finance leaders. • Screen and assess candidates for strategic, operational, and financial leadership fit. • Coordinate with FD Capital’s London-based consultants on briefs, progress updates, and candidate shortlists. • Promote FD Capital’s fractional model and value proposition : cost-effective, flexible senior leadership that scales with business needs • Support relationship-building with local businesses, investors, and PE/VC partners to identify fractional recruitment opportunities. • Maintain robust candidate tracking and assist with interviews and client meetings as needed Requirements • Proven experience in senior finance recruitment or executive search; ideally within fractional or interim CFO/FD roles. • Strong understanding of Senior Finance and C-suite dynamics—especially within SMEs, start-ups, and PE-backed environments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a discreet and consultative approach. • Existing or rapidly developable network of senior finance professionals in the Midlands. • Able to work on-site in Cannock two days a week, with flexibility for remote collaboration and occasional travel.
