About This Role Whiz Kids Child Development Center is a Center-based facility that's family-oriented, boasting over 30 years of experience since its establishment in 1987. We're proud to be NAEYC accredited, offering spacious, open classrooms and a large outdoor setting that embodies our commitment to the "Creative Curriculum. We're on the hunt for a dynamic, motivated, and nurturing part-time caregiver to join our team! This individual will help create a warm and caring environment that stimulates the development and growth of our children in various age groups, including infant, toddler, preschool, and school age. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30-5:30 PM What You'll Do Implement age-appropriate activities and work collaboratively as part of a team Tend to children's basic needs Mediate conflict between children Provide written progress reports and engage in daily communications with parents to track children's progress Model appropriate behaviors Foster effective staff/parent communication Ensure the implementation of the center's philosophies and policies Attend all staff meetings, continuing education, and center events Maintain state-mandated staff/student ratio at all times Requirements Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting Clear criminal record Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 pounds Warm, approachable disposition Nice to Have Medication certified per CT requirements First aid certified per CT requirements CPR certified per CT requirements
