Seasonal Park Maintenance  Job Opening -  FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS ! If you love the outdoors and   are looking for a great   seasonal   job, we have the job for you!   The Woods Cross City Public Works Department seeks   diligent   candidates to fill   our Seasonal Parks Maintenance positions. Principal Duties: As   a park maintenance worker , you will   assist   with the maintenance of   the   public parks   available for   public and   recreational   use , maintenance of open spaces,   and   prepare for seasonal city-wide events. Duties include but are not limited to: • Operat ing   complex lawn mowing equipment; mow ing   and   trimming   grass,   bushes,   and shrubs;   assist ing   in pruning trees,   shrubs,   and plants; remov ing   dead, diseased, or injured   trees; • Perform ing   general landscape and gardening duties as directed to develop attractive parks and grounds • Assist ing   with repairs on sprinkler systems . • Maintain ing   playing fields;   ensuring   striping and placement of field   markers,   clean and operational   facilities   and lighting; trim ming   and mow ing   lawns ,   groom ing   playing areas,   dirt,   and lawns. • Perform ing   facility janitorial duties; clean ing   restrooms,   emptying   containers,   sanitizing   receptacles; perform ing   daily inspections of buildings and restrooms. • Assisting   with   other   Public   Works Department tasks, as necessary. The Ideal Candidate • Must be at least 17 years old • Must  possess  a current, valid driver license • Works well as a member of team  to create beautiful spaces • Be able to work in all types of weather • Enjoys taking a break from  their phone • Must be able to lift 50  lbs • Is  required  to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen and be subject to random drug screening after hired • Must live within 30 minutes of Woods Cross Salary Range  and Schedule 40-hour   max  work week ,  flexible scheduling available  for students . Some weekend and after- hours   work   required . P ay range  $15.00 -$18.00  per hour depending on experience.   This position is not  eligible for benefits.
