Description Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented litigation paralegal with 2–3 years of litigation experience to join our Binghamton, New York office. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offering a collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of matters while continuing to develop litigation skills in a professional, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Draft, edit, and format litigation documents under attorney supervision • Assist with preparation of pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and exhibits • Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files • Track deadlines and maintain attorney calendars to ensure compliance with court schedules and filing requirements • Coordinate scheduling of depositions, court appearances, meetings, and closings • Prepare documents for filing and assist with state and federal e-filing processes • Research court rules and filing requirements as needed • Open new matters and maintain accurate case records • Respond to internal and external requests for information • Provide general litigation support including word processing, time entry, filing, and telephone coverage • Provide additional administrative and litigation support as needed Requirements Qualifications • 2–3 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel • Familiarity with court procedures and e-filing systems • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment • Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
