Description
The Paid Social Account Director is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning the strategy, performance, and execution of a high-investment enterprise paid social program (multi-million dollar monthly spend). This role serves as the primary subject matter expert and strategic lead across paid social channels, driving scalable growth through creative-led performance, advanced audience strategy, and data-driven decision making. You will act as the day-to-day strategic owner of one of the agency’s most complex and high-impact accounts—partnering closely with senior client stakeholders, creative teams, and cross-channel leads to deliver measurable business outcomes. What You'll Do Strategic Ownership & Leadership - Own the end-to-end paid social strategy across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, aligning investment to business goals and growth targets - Translate business objectives into full-funnel social strategies, spanning prospecting, retargeting, and retention - Act as the primary strategic advisor to client stakeholders, delivering proactive, insight-driven recommendations - Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly planning, including budget allocation, forecasting, and scenario modeling - Identify and unlock incremental growth opportunities through audience expansion, creative iteration, and platform innovation Performance Management & Optimization - Own performance against core KPIs (CPA, ROAS, revenue, LTV, CAC efficiency, incrementality) - Develop and execute advanced optimization frameworks across audience targeting, bidding strategies, placements, and creative - Leverage platform automation (e.g., Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, TikTok Smart Performance Campaigns) while maintaining strategic oversight and control - Build and maintain test-and-learn roadmaps, including creative testing, audience segmentation, and landing page optimization - Monitor pacing, diagnose performance shifts, and quickly resolve inefficiencies or scaling constraints Creative Strategy Leadership - Lead the development of creative strategy frameworks that drive performance across the funnel - Partner with creative teams to develop data-backed briefs, grounded in audience insights, platform trends, and performance data - Define and scale creative testing methodologies, including iteration velocity, messaging frameworks, and format diversification (UGC, video, statics, hooks) - Analyze creative performance and translate insights into clear recommendations that improve conversion and engagement Operational Excellence - Maintain hands-on ownership of campaign structure, audience frameworks, and account architecture - Ensure best-in-class implementation across platforms including Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and other paid social ecosystems - Oversee campaign builds, QA, and trafficking to ensure accuracy, scalability, and adherence to best practices Analysis & Cross-Channel Collaboration - Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and translate them into clear strategic narratives - Partner with analytics teams to evolve forecasting models, incrementality testing, and attribution approaches - Partner with Paid Search, SEO, Programmatic, and Creative teams to ensure integrated media strategies Innovation & Thought Leadership - Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging trends across Meta, TikTok, and the social landscape - Identify and implement new opportunities in automation, AI-driven creative, and audience expansion - Act as a client-facing and internal thought leader in paid social and performance creative strategy - Contribute to agency POVs, frameworks, and best practices for enterprise-scale social programs What You'll Bring - 6–10+ years of experience in paid social / performance marketing - Proven experience managing enterprise-level accounts with significant monthly spend ($1M+) - Dee
