Summary of Industry: Working as an Electrical Linesman in the UK, you will be part of the electricity distribution and transmission industry. You will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing power lines and electrical infrastructure. The Industry: The UK electricity distribution network is regulated and maintained by several key companies, including National Grid, Scottish Power, and UK Power Networks. As an Electrical Linesman, you will work for these companies or their subcontractors, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to homes and businesses. Country: UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) The Employer: Job Bridge Global works with reputable companies in the electricity distribution and transmission industry in the UK. As an Electrical Linesman, you will be an integral part of a skilled team, working on various projects to install, maintain, and repair power lines and electrical infrastructure. Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Linesman in the electricity distribution and transmission industry. Trade certification or equivalent qualification in electrical systems or power line construction. Sound knowledge of electrical principles, power line construction, and safety regulations. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Proficiency in working at height and using specialized equipment such as pole climbers and bucket trucks. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Adherence to safety regulations and procedures. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasionally travel to different job sites. Valid driver's license.
