Order   Fulfillment   Technician   Job   Description Job Details Job Title:   Order Fulfillment Technician Compensation: $19.50/hr Additional Compensation :  Shift Differential +$1.50/hr Department:   Shipping / Warehouse / Order Fulfillment Reports To:   Shipping Supervisor FLSA Status:   Non- Exempt Location:  Acorn Facility Work Arrangement:   On-Site Shift / Schedule:  2nd shift Travel Requirements:   None Employment Type:   Full-time Role Overview / Purpose and Scope The Order Fulfillment Technician   is responsible for   building pallets safely, accurately, and efficiently to support customer shipments and shipping operations. This role includes reading labels and order sheets, placing product in the proper load and stop sequence,   operating   an electric pallet jack, staging product, maintaining inventory rotation, and loading outgoing trucks according to shipping instructions. The Order Fulfillment Technician plays   an important role   in   order   accuracy, product movement, shipment readiness, cooler and dock organization, documentation accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, safe material handling,   strong communication , and the ability to work in a damp, cold, fast-paced   warehouse   and production environment. Key Responsibilities • Build pallets safely and efficiently according to order requirements, labels, and shipping instructions. • Read and understand English and   identify   items on paperwork. • Operate and understand the inventory scanner. • Work from order sheets to build loads using an electric pallet jack. • Follow proper load and stop sequence when placing product for shipment. • Load outgoing trucks with strict attention to order accuracy. • Ensure the correct number and type of product is picked, transported, staged, and loaded. • Comply with   shipper and receiver documentation requirements. • Complete and   maintain   all relevant shipping documentation as   required . • Assemble   various types   of merchandise for shipment. • Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms using material handling equipment. • Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested. • Repack and weigh orders that require   additional   handling when necessary. • Report quality variances, product concerns, order discrepancies, or documentation issues   immediately . • Maintain   inventory product rotation using First In, First Out practices. • Properly stage and track products in the coolers. • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, including coolers and dock areas. • Communicate verbally with supervisors, leads, and team members. • Safely   operate   an electric jack after completing required training. • Work overtime as needed based on shipping, production, and business needs. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Ability to read and understand English. • Ability to   identify   items on paperwork, labels, order sheets, and shipping documents. • Ability to   operate   and understand an inventory scanner. • Ability to work from order sheets and follow shipping instructions accurately. • Ability to be trained to safely use an electric pallet jack. • Ability to pick, build, stage, transport, and load customer orders accurately. • Ability to   maintain   order accuracy when loading outgoing trucks. • Ability to complete and   maintain   shipping documentation as   required . • Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors, leads, and team members. • Ability to report product issues, quality variances, order discrepancies, and documentation concerns   immediately . • Ability to   maintain   inventory rotation using First In, First Out practices. • Ability to work in a damp and cold environment. • Ability to work overtime as needed. • Ability to occasionally   lift up   to 50 pounds. • Ability to perform constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as product is moved. • Ability to follow safety requirements, company policies, and department procedures. • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications • Prior   order   fulfillment, shipping, warehouse, cooler, freezer, production, food processing, or poultry processing experience. • Experience   operating   an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, or similar material handling equipment. • Experience using inventory scanners, shipping documentation, or order management systems. • Experience building pallets, loading trucks, staging   product , or   maintaining   First In, First Out inventory rotation. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel Work is conducted primarily in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, cooler, dock, and poultry production environment. This role requires working in damp and   cold conditions   and may require access to production areas, coolers, dock areas, shipping locations, and other assigned areas of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment are   required   in the production area. Hair and beard nets are   required   in the production area.   Additional   personal protective equipment may be   required   based on task, location, and safety requirements. This position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping while product is moved. The role may also require operating material handling equipment, building pallets, loading trucks, staging   product , working in coolers and dock areas, and occasionally   lifting up   to 50 pounds.
