What you'll be doing:
In this dynamic role, you'll work alongside the Orchard Manager to provide professional administrative support across payroll, recruitment, compliance, and general office tasks. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations while helping foster a welcoming environment for our Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) team. At Mr Apple, we value genuine connection, so building strong relationships with people from all walks of life is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage orchard administration, documentation, and correspondence
Coordinate recruitment processes and onboarding records
Accurately process payroll using Croptracker and Zambion
Support RSE programme logistics and foster positive worker experiences
Maintain workplace safety standards and participate in training initiatives
Perform light orchard duties when required
Provide general office support including answering calls, responding to emails, and running errands
What you'll bring:
At least 2 years of administration experience
Confidence using Microsoft Office and a solid grasp of operational systems
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and prioritisation skills
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
Flexibility to support occasional after-hours or weekend work
Full New Zealand driver’s licence
Legal right to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre-employment checks
Experience in horticulture or a non-office-based setting is a plus
