Vista Eyecare is looking for a full time optometric assistant who has a passion for providing amazing patient care and working as an integral part of a medical team. We are an independent optometry practice established in 2003. We recently moved into our new office in Rosewood and are looking for additional staff to accommodate our office growth. We value getting to know our patients and want everyone who walks through our door to feel like family. The ideal addition to our team is: • Friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic, and loves collaborating with others • Invested in the best patient care experience • Able to prioritize tasks, stay focused, and communicate well in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and time management are critical • Comfortable working in both an individual and team setting • Creative and eager to take initiatives to help make the practice better Previous optical or medical office experience is a plus but not required. What We Offer • Monday to Friday schedule • Healthy work-life balance • Competitive wage with opportunity for advancement • A strong support team of staff, the majority of whom have been with us for over 10 years • On the job training and support • Clothing allowance • Medical, dental and vision care benefits Your day-to-day duties will include: • Greeting patients and visitors warmly and professionally upon arrival • Performing preliminary tests to get patients ready for the optometrists • High level planning with the ability to pivot and maintain efficient office flow in a high-paced environment • Performing supplementary post-testing (OCTs, visual fields, etc.) • Creating detailed entries into electronic health records • Collecting and updating patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information • Being a team player and assisting other team members to ensure a smooth office flow • Cross training in other areas such as minor optical adjustment and repair in order to help out when needed • General office duties (answering phones, processing insurance, taking payment, keeping the office tidy) If this sounds like a good fit for you, please submit a resume with a cover letter in person at #10 - 3012 Meadows Parkway or by email to [email protected].
