Position Overview We are seeking a talented Optical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced optical and photonic systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing optical components and assemblies, conducting performance analyses, supporting manufacturability efforts, and evaluating system-level optical performance. Key Responsibilities • Design, model, and optimize optical systems and components. • Perform optical tolerance analyses to ensure robust system performance. • Support Design for Manufacturing (DfM) activities and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. • Conduct stray light, ghost image, and optical performance analyses. • Develop and validate optical simulations and design solutions. • Contribute to prototype evaluation and performance verification activities. Education • Master's degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electro-Optics, Photonics, or a related field. Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience in optical design and analysis. • Strong foundation in optics, physics, and optical engineering principles. • Hands-on experience with optical design and simulation tools such as Zemax, CODE V, or equivalent software. • Experience with metasurfaces, metalenses, nanophotonic structures, or related advanced optical technologies. • Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, CST, or similar). • Background in photonics, nano-optics, imaging systems, or optical system development is advantageous. Preferred Skills • Understanding of optical fabrication processes and manufacturing constraints. • Experience working in multidisciplinary product development environments. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
