Description
We are seeking a skilled SAW Welding Operator to operate Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) machines for welding structural steel components in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standards. The ideal candidate should ensure high-quality welds, maintain welding accuracy, and comply with all safety and fabrication requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate SAW welding equipment. Adjust welding parameters, including voltage, amperage, and travel speed. Weld H-beams, box sections, and structural steel components. Read and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings. Inspect welds for defects and ensure quality compliance. Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Follow approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). Comply with welding standards, safety procedures, and PPE requirements. Department: Production Division: Fabrication Category: Skilled Welder Qualification Technical Certificate in Welding or related field. Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of SAW welding experience. Experience in structural steel fabrication plants. Knowledge of SAW welding processes and welding standards. Familiarity with AWS, ISO, or other relevant welding standards. Ability to read welding drawings, symbols, and WPS. Knowledge of weld inspection requirements and quality control.
