We are now looking for Fishmate who will work on board our vessels in Antarctica. Job purpose The fishmate is responsible for all fishing operations on his shift. The workspace is on bridge, 12 hours a day. If requested, Fish Mate must assist on deck. Responsibility during operation Responsible for the fishing operations while on duty. In command of deck crew during any deck operations related to fishery while on duty. Assist in any reporting as required by Captain and assist to 1st officer with radio equipment Safety responsibilities Be familiar with duties according "station bill" and muster lists for life rafts. Make sure that all possible measures have been taken to perform safe operations on deck Wear safety equipment as required Responsible to see that all crew wear safety equipment as required during any operation HSE MS: Comply fully with the requirements in the Company’s HSE MS system, national as well as international rules and legislations and other precautions currently valid on board. Drills: According to “Emergency Plan”: MEDEVAC, OIL pollution, FF, MOB, Abandon ship. HSE Activities: Actively take part in HSE meetings and programs, event reporting etc. Other Tasks On request from Captain and Chief Officer. Learn and understand how to use ERP systems as required. Required qualifications COC Deck Officer Medical certificate STCW safety course Personal qualifications: Desire for an offshore career English language skills Enjoys working in an international team Appreciates new challenges, seeking new tasks and continuous improvements Systematic and responsible with drive and self-motivation We offer: A safe and attractive workplace Possibility for entrance into a fixed position on board Fixed annual salary Good working environment on board Pension and insurance scheme 12/7 shift; 12 hours on, 12 hours off, 7 days a week for the entire rotation Shift rotation: One shift on (ca three months incl travels) and two shifts off, averaging 150 sea days per year and about 120 - 135 days off between trips. Travel to and from fishing ground is about one week each way at the beginning and the end of the rotation, using ports in Uruguay, Chile, and Falkland Islands for embarkation on cargo and passenger vessel, bringing crew to fishing vessels on fishing ground.
