Key Responsibilities • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of wind turbines to ensure optimal functionality. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. • Perform corrective repairs and component replacements as needed. • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance. • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times. • Utilise specialised tools and diagnostic equipment to perform technical tasks. • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians. • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry advancements. Qualifications • A relevant technical qualification in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering. • Proven experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related field. • Certifications in wind turbine safety and technical training (e.g., GWO). • Experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance software. • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Skills • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. • Excellent problem-solving abilities. • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and safety. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with wind turbine control systems and software. • Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging environments.
