Flexible Teaching Schedule
• Commit to a minimum of 10 teaching hours per week.
• Teaching hours fall between 06:00 and 20:00 Eastern Time (ET), subject to Daylight Saving adjustments.
• Availability during peak demand periods is essential:
• Monday to Thursday: 16:00–20:00 ET (minimum 6 hours weekly).
• Saturday: Minimum 2 hours between 06:00–20:00 ET.
Work Remotely

Consistent Student Base
• Build relationships with regular students while supporting their English language development and confidence.
Position Information
Start Date: Immediate (following successful completion of the recruitment process)
Compensation: USD $6.25 per hour
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement with The Faculty Online Learning Group
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
• Native-level or highly proficient English communication skills (C1/C2 level).
• Fluent Portuguese speaker.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English online or in a traditional classroom environment.
• Accredited TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA qualification (120 hours or more).
• Bachelor's degree in English, Translation, English Literature, Education, or a related field (completed or currently in progress).
• Familiarity with CEFR frameworks and ESL assessment practices.
• Strong digital literacy and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Clear criminal record.
Technical Requirements
Computer
• Intel® Core™ i5 processor (or equivalent) running at 2.40GHz or higher.
• Minimum 8GB RAM.
Internet
• Reliable fibre internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speeds.
• Wired LAN connection required.
Power Backup
• UPS or alternative backup power solution capable of supporting equipment for 4–5 hours is highly recommended.
Teaching Equipment
• Noise-cancelling headset with microphone.
• HD webcam (720p or higher).
• Quiet, professional, and well-lit teaching environment suitable for online instruction.
