Description
The University of Nicosia is looking for an Online Learning Support Teleconferencing Officer (FT) and an Online Learning Support Teleconferencing Assistant (PT). The Online Learning Support Unit (OLSU) is supporting faculty, students and staff in terms of their online teaching & learning use of the LMS platform (Blackboard) and the teleconferencing system (Engageli).
The successful candidates will assist in managing the end-to-end operation of teleconferencing systems in use by the OLS unit and other units/departments that require their services. Specifically, they will act as the host during a teleconferencing session and assist the faculty and students by providing them with technical support in order for them to have a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
He/she will work in cooperation with the OLS Programme Managers to ensure that all required sessions are conducted according to the schedule and the recordings (in some cases) are sent to the appropriate persons. Additionally, they will assist the OLS Programme Managers with specific faculty requests and handle video recordings.
Overall, the successful candidates will help in facilitating the continued improvement of operations and technologies to provide a better experience in the OLSU for students and faculty.
Information for Full Time OLSU Teleconferencing Officers
Working hours per week: 40
Working hours will be Monday to Friday in 2 shifts (Morning shift 09:00-18:00 / Evening shift 12:00-21:00) and on alternate Saturdays 09:00-13:00.
Information for Part Time OLSU Teleconferencing Assistants
Working hours per week: up to 30
Working hours will be Monday to Friday in 2 shifts (Morning shift 09:00-15:00 / Evening shift 15:00-21:00) and on alternate Saturdays 09:00-13:00.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems or other IT-related field
Job-specific skills:
Experience in using an LMS e.g., Blackboard, Moodle
Experience working in a call center or similar environment with high customer interaction
Excellent demonstration of Microsoft Office
Experience in using content authoring and audio/video editing tools
Experience in using teleconferencing tools
Excellent verbal and written communication in Greek and English
Personal Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to adeptly learn new systems
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
Able to effectively transfer knowledge to various audiences
Highly organized and able to efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously
