Description
Our Mission Money sitting idle is money lost. We're fixing that. Founded in 2023 by Antoine and Paul-Adrien , Spiko gives businesses, non-profits, financial advisers, and fintechs access to institutional-grade cash management, via app or API. We are building the full infrastructure: issuing, operating, and distributing the products ourselves. Two years after launch, we serve thousands of organizations across Europe and process hundreds of millions of euros in flows every month. Netherlands is one of our priority markets for the next phase of growth. Our ambition: become the world's leading treasury management infrastructure in a market worth trillions. We are backed by Index Ventures, the CEO of Revolut, the founder of Kyriba, and the CTO of Wise. Spiko runs on excellence, transparency, and straight talk. The role: Onboarding & KYC Specialist As an Onboarding and KYC Specialist, you'll own the end-to-end investor onboarding journey, from first document review to account activation, across multiple European markets with different regulatory frameworks and documentation standards. You'll be accountable for two things: the client experience (how fast and smooth the onboarding feels from the investor's perspective) and compliance quality (how rigorously our KYC policies are applied). You'll be the one making sure every new client gets through the door smoothly, applying our KYC procedures with rigour while delivering a frictionless experience. You'll also actively leverage AI and automation to streamline verification workflows and scale onboarding without compromising on compliance quality. You will be a member of our Customer Success team. You'll work hand in hand with our Compliance team who set the policies and handle escalated cases, your focus is on executing those processes flawlessly at scale. Key Responsibilities Investor Onboarding & KYC Execution Manage the onboarding of investors (retail, corporate, institutional) distributed via Spiko Finance or third-party partners, across several European markets (France, and expanding). Conduct first-level KYC checks for both individuals and legal entities: review of identity documents, beneficial ownership structures, source of funds, and risk scoring, following the procedures defined by the Compliance team. Handle the review and approval of investor documents within the app, including bank account verification and documentation checks tailored to the investor's risk level and transaction size. Maintain ongoing due diligence by monitoring client documentation (periodic reviews, document renewals) and flagging anomalies or suspicious patterns to the AML team for further investigation. Investigate complex or high-risk cases with the Compliance team, providing clear context and preliminary analysis to facilitate decision-making. Onboarding Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks in the onboarding journey (drop-offs, document back-and-forth, approval delays) and propose actionable improvements to reduce friction and time-to-activation. Work closely with Product and Engineering to enhance onboarding tools, leverage AI for document extraction, identity verification, and risk screening, and automate repetitive manual checks to increase throughput while maintaining compliance standards. Document and standardize onboarding workflows to ensure consistency and scalability as the client base grows. Contribute feedback to the Compliance team on the practical applicability of procedures, helping bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and operational reality. Who we're looking for Requirements (must-haves) Experience : 1 - 3 years in an onboarding, KYC operations, or client-facing compliance role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or a regulated environment. Hands-on experience reviewing corporate documentation is a strong plus. Skills : you're structured, meticulous, and comfortable reviewing complex documentation
